Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 September 2026

Verification Vulture is a service that allows users to sign in with Discord and link one or more TikTok accounts to their Discord account. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

  • Discord account information: Discord user ID, username, display name, and profile image information provided through Discord OAuth.
  • TikTok account information: TikTok user ID, username/display name, and other basic profile information you authorize TikTok to provide.
  • Account-linking records: which TikTok accounts have been linked to which Discord account, linking dates, current status, and disabled dates.
  • Session and security information: a hashed session token, IP address, browser/user-agent information, login time, activity time, expiry time, and revocation time.
  • OAuth information: temporary authorization data used to complete authentication securely.

2. How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, link accounts, display linked accounts, maintain account-link history, prevent abuse and unauthorized access, and operate and secure the service.

3. Linked-account history

When a user removes a TikTok account from their active links, Verification Vulture normally disables the link rather than deleting its historical record. This preserves an audit trail and helps prevent conflicting ownership claims and misuse.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. Information may be exchanged with Discord and TikTok where necessary to perform OAuth authentication and authorized API requests. Infrastructure providers may process data on our behalf to host and operate the service.

5. Data retention

Active links are kept while in use. Disabled link records may be retained as an audit and security history. Login sessions are time-limited and may be revoked earlier. Security logs may be retained for a reasonable period.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS, server-side OAuth exchanges, secure HTTP-only cookies, hashed session tokens, session expiry, and access controls.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. Some historical records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legal claims.

8. Third-party services

Discord and TikTok operate independently and process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Children

Verification Vulture must not be used in a way that violates the minimum-age requirements of Discord, TikTok, or applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.

11. Contact

Privacy questions, data-rights requests, or security concerns can be sent to privacy@vultureverification.com.
